Operator Information

The personal information controller under this Privacy Policy is as follows.

  • Operator: Jumpei Takiyasu
  • Contact: https://audioorder.juntaki.com/en/support

Article 1 (What This App Does)

AudioOrder ("the App") is a macOS menu bar utility that, using the operating system's standard Core Audio framework, only enumerates connected audio devices (microphones, speakers, etc.) and sets the system default input/output device. The App does not record, capture, analyze, or transmit any audio data.

Article 2 (Information Processed Within the App)

Device priority order, per-device rules (Auto-select / Manual-only / Ignore), and app settings that the user configures are stored only on the user's own Mac, under ~/Library/Application Support/com.juntaki.audioorder/. This data is not transmitted to our servers, and we have no access to it.

A rolling history of recent automatic switches (up to 50 entries: timestamp, target device, and reason) is kept only in memory while the App is running, and is never written to disk. It is discarded when the App quits.

Only when the user explicitly chooses to "export diagnostics" can the history and device list above be written out as a plain-text file to a location the user selects. This export happens solely on user action and is never sent to us automatically.

Article 3 (Information We May Collect or Access)

We may collect or access the following information.

  • Email address and inquiry content provided when contacting support (including the contents of an exported diagnostics file, if a user voluntarily attaches one to an inquiry)
  • Diagnostic information (crash logs, OS version, device model, app version, etc.) statistically visible on App Store Connect, if the user has enabled Apple's diagnostic sharing. This does not include directly identifying information such as names or email addresses.

Article 4 (Purpose of Use)

We use the information defined in the preceding article to respond to inquiries, investigate issues, and improve quality.

  • Responding to user inquiries about the App
  • Investigating issues, preventing recurrence, and improving app quality
  • Responding to requests from legal authorities or government agencies with legitimate authority

Article 5 (Third-Party Sharing)

We do not provide the information defined in the preceding article to third parties, except in the following cases: (1) with user consent; (2) as required by law; (3) when necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain consent; (4) when cooperation with a national or local government agency performing duties prescribed by law is required.

Article 6 (Tracking Technologies)

This app does not use cookies, IDFA (advertising identifiers), or other tracking technologies for advertising delivery or measurement. This app does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Because the App has no networking functionality at all, it contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs either.

Article 7 (Retention, Deletion, and Disclosure Requests)

[Data Retention] Data described in Article 2, paragraph 1 is retained until the user deletes it from the App or uninstalls the App. The history described in Article 2, paragraph 2 is discarded automatically when the App quits. Sharing of diagnostic information is subject to Apple's App Analytics retention policy.

[Data Deletion] Priority order and rules can be reset from within the App's settings; uninstalling the App also removes on-device data.

[Disclosure Requests] To the extent we hold personal information subject to disclosure under applicable law, users may request notification of purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of third-party provision under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. We will respond in accordance with the law after verifying identity. Please contact the support link below for inquiry procedures.

Article 8 (Policy Changes)

We may revise this policy as necessary. Revised policies take effect upon publication on this page.

If changes require user consent under applicable law, we will obtain consent through a separate designated process.

For significant revisions, we will endeavor to notify users in advance through in-app notifications or publication on our website.
